Antifouling Paint Malaysia – The Innovation of Transocean Paint Technology

Antifouling paint is a special coating that usually applied to the hull and propellers of a marine craft. The coating is designed to release biocides, which is a kind of toxins to slow down the development of marine organisms such as algae, slime, mossy weed and barnacles. It is also known as the Transocean paint in Malaysia. Antifouling boat paint serves two main purposes when applied on the metal hulls; it prevents corrosion as well as prevent the settling and growth of the microscopic marine organisms and plants on the hull.
Basically, the corrosion and fouling are interrelated in that poor corrosion resistance that could lead to the disruption of the paint film and the loss of anti-fouling properties. Hard Matrix Fouling

The resins are packed with active ingredients, and the particles are so close that as one dissolves the nest is exposed. The high durability and strength make these antifouling extremely ideal for high-power boats, racing yacht and mud-berthed vessels.

Self-Polishing Antifouling

This type of antifouling partially a resin of active substances that discourage fouling. Moreover, the paint film will wear out once it is in the water due to the water friction on the hull. The resin will break down in a controlled way, while continually exposing the fresh biocide layers. This would give a constant performance throughout the season with a smooth finishing to the hull and reduce the build-up of old antifouling.
